CircleCI MCP Server bridged the CircleCI continuous-integration platform to MCP clients. Its tools covered the questions a developer asks after a push: which pipelines and workflows ran, what their status is, and — most valuably — the logs and test output of a failing job, so an assistant with repository access can read the actual failure and propose a fix rather than being told a build broke. It supported both a local stdio mode and a self-managed remote transport for network deployment. The repository now opens with a deprecation notice that should govern any decision to use it. The package receives no feature work, the repository will be archived, and CircleCI directs users to its hosted MCP server or the CircleCI CLI MCP instead. The notice adds a specific security argument worth repeating: running an unmaintained server that holds a CircleCI personal API token is not recommended, and anyone operating the self-managed remote transport should migrate first, since that mode means running a network-facing service brokering an organisation's token. Existing versions remain installable from npm. The code is TypeScript and Apache-2.0 licensed. The audience is CircleCI users, who should adopt the hosted replacement, and developers reading it as an example of a vendor CI integration.
