This project is an MCP server for the JFrog Platform API that exposes Artifactory and adjacent JFrog services as tools an LLM client can call. The README opens with a prominent deprecation notice: the repository was an experimental demonstration, was never officially supported or verified by JFrog, is no longer maintained, and will receive no further features, bug fixes or security patches. JFrog now provides an official, remotely hosted MCP server, and the notice directs all new and existing integrations there, keeping the remaining documentation for historical reference only. The functionality it documented falls into several groups. Repository management covers creating local, remote and virtual repositories, each taking a repository key, a repository class, a package type, and optional description, project key and environment assignments; remote repositories additionally take the upstream URL and credentials, and virtual repositories take the list of member repository keys to aggregate. A listing tool filters repositories by type, package type or project. Another tool sets properties on a folder path, optionally applying them recursively to sub-folders. Artifact search is handled by an AQL tool that executes an Artifactory Query Language expression against a chosen domain such as items or builds, so clients can run arbitrary structured queries over artifacts and build records. Further groups listed in the feature summary include build tracking to list and retrieve build information, runtime monitoring of clusters and running container images, Mission Control access to associated platform instances, catalog and curation lookups for package versions, vulnerabilities and curation status, and Xray scan summaries grouped by severity per artifact. An availability check tool reports whether the platform is ready. Written in TypeScript and previously distributed through Smithery, it is now of interest mainly as a reference implementation.
