Vantage MCP Server exposes Vantage, a cloud cost management platform that aggregates spend across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes and dozens of other providers, to MCP clients such as Claude and Cursor. Its tools list, query and create Vantage resources: cost reports filtered by provider, service, account and time period; cost allocation by tag, which is where most organisational cost questions actually live; and the provider integrations configured on the account. Being able to create resources as well as read them means an assistant can build a saved report in response to a question rather than only answering it once. Two deployment modes are documented, and the README is clear about which to choose: a Vantage-managed hosted server at mcp.vantage.sh using OAuth sign-in with nothing to run locally, recommended for most users, and a self-hosted stdio server run through npx with API-token authentication, intended for air-gapped environments or for contributing to the codebase. Tool definitions live in the repository's src/tools directory and the full list is in Vantage's documentation. It is TypeScript. The audience is finance and platform teams doing cloud cost work who want spend questions answered in natural language across a multi-cloud estate.
