JVM MCP Server gives an assistant the ability to inspect live Java processes. It is built on the diagnostic utilities shipped with the JDK itself — the tools behind jps, jstack, jmap, jstat and their relatives — so it works against any standard JVM without attaching a third-party agent, which the README contrasts explicitly with Arthas.
