Kong Gateway is a cloud-native, scalable API gateway that manages API, AI LLM, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) traffic with advanced security, observability, and extensibility features.
MCPHub is a comprehensive unified management platform designed to aggregate and manage multiple Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers through streamable HTTP endpoints. It provides centralized control, real-time monitoring, secure access, and intelligent tool discovery, making it easier to integrate and scale AI tools efficiently. The platform supports flexible access to all servers, individual servers, or logical groups of servers, enabling streamlined permissions and group-based access control. Key features include broad MCP server support with minimal configuration, a centralized dashboard for monitoring server status and performance metrics, and compatibility with both stdio and SSE MCP protocols. MCPHub allows hot-swappable configuration, meaning servers can be added, removed, or updated without downtime. Security is ensured through built-in user management with role-based access control powered by JWT and bcrypt. The platform is also Docker-ready for easy deployment. MCPHub offers a smart routing system that uses vector semantic search to discover the most relevant tools for any given task. This system indexes MCP tools into vector embeddings stored in PostgreSQL with the pgvector extension, enabling semantic search and intelligent filtering to provide precise execution of tools. This feature requires PostgreSQL, an OpenAI API key or compatible embedding service, and enabling smart routing in the settings. Users can access MCP servers via unified streamable HTTP endpoints or SSE endpoints, with options for group-specific or server-specific connections. The dashboard provides live status updates, server management, group organization, and user administration. MCPHub supports integration with various AI clients such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, and DeepChat. The platform is built with a modern tech stack including Node.js, Express, TypeScript for the backend, and React, Vite, Tailwind CSS for the frontend. It encourages community contributions and offers extensive documentation and support through a Discord community. MCPHub is licensed under the Apache 2.0 License.
